* The batteries are now being distributed through its wholesale and retail distribution network in China.

Discover Energy International Limited, Hong Kong, announces the arrival of its first inventory of batteries with DISCOVER MIXTECH at its Factory Warehouse in Shenzhen, China. The batteries will be distributed through Discover's established network under the brand Synergy Eco.

China is becoming one of the largest battery markets globally as a result of its unprecedented growth in vehicle sales over the last decade. It surpassed 128 million registered vehicles in 2012, up from 35 million in 2006. From 2010 to 2012 there was 67 million added, with approximately 30 million being added from 2011 to 2012 alone. Kevin Loman, Director, Discover Energy International Limited, Hong Kong said "We are expecting the total China battery market in 2015/2016 to be 6-8 times the new vehicle registrations in 2012. This means that China will require around 180 million batteries to satisfy OE and Aftermarket demand."

The timing of this opening inventory arriving is critical to Discover's strategy in China. Having product readily available at the warehouse positions DISCOVER MIXTECH to capture a significant percentage of the market and increasing demand. South Eastern China is a climate that is hard on batteries, often causing failure in 12 months or less. The MIXTECH innovation extends the life of the battery by up to 3-time's, giving distributors with access to battery's with MIXTECH the ability to offer benefits and features that are not available with competing products.
