VIB Vermögen AG: VIB Vermögen AG develops modern logistics centre at Interpark in the Ingolstadt metropolitan region

Neuburg/Danube, September 23, 2014 - VIB Vermögen AG, a company specialising in commercial real estate portfolio management, is continuing to focus on its successful business with its own developments, and is further expanding its real estate portfolio in the high-growth logistics area.

VIB Vermögen AG is currently developing a modern logistics centre at the Interpark (north of Ingolstadt), one of Southern Germany's most important commercial parks. The property is set to be completed in the third quarter 2015, and comprises a land space of approximately 95,000 sqm. The building area will amount to around 52,000 sqm once the project has been completed. The investment costs stand at approximately EUR 34 million, and the prospective rental yield on the entire property amounts to approximately 8.7 %. VIB has already signed a rental agreement for around one third of the rental space with a medium-sized logistics company with high credit standing, and further rental contracts are being negotiated currently.

Ludwig Schlosser, CEO of VIB Vermögen AG, explains the background to the investment: "An ever greater scarcity of suitable commercial properties is facing growing demand from the economy in Southern Germany. Consequently, we are positioning ourselves as a strong partner with our own developments, particularly for the logistics growth sector. We are continuing to pursue this strategy with this property at the Interpark, which is enabling us to create the basis for further revenue and earnings growth over the coming business years."

Over and beyond this project, VIB Vermögen AG has already invested around EUR 38 million in promising real estate during the 2014 fiscal year. As already announced, the company acquired a retail centre in Bischberg-Trosdorf (near to Bamberg) and a retail property in Nördlingen at the start of the year. Another project the company has developed is also about to be completed: a MAN service station in Freiburg im Breisgau.
