Neuburg/Donau, April 12, 2016 - VIB Vermögen AG, a company specialising in the acquisition, development and portfolio management of industrial properties, has acquired further sites for in-house development at the Interpark logistics centre in Kösching, near Ingolstadt. The total area of the three sites is about 177,000 m^2. The company plans to build further properties, especially for customers from the logistics and light industry sectors, and is already in talks with potential tenants. VIB anticipates a total rentable area of approximately 90,000 m^2. Depending on customer needs, the size of the individual units can vary between 2,000 and 60,000 m^2.

Last autumn, VIB completed its largest in-house development so far at Interpark. The site, which measures approximately 95,000 m^2 with about 55,000 m^2 of rentable floor space, was already rented in full to tenants with excellent credit ratings at the time of completion and has been generating attractive rental yields from the outset.

"We are delighted to be able to continue expanding our portfolio within the Ingolstadt conurbation, especially in light of strong demand and restrictive regulations concerning new floor space for businesses. At the same time, we are creating further potential for in-house developments by promptly securing attractive sites for our pipeline", explains Martin Pfandzelter, Chief Operating Officer at VIB Vermögen AG.

The acquisition underscores the company's strategy of boosting growth in the current market environment by using attractive in-house developments in addition to the acquisition of properties. The new sites are set to be developed in the next few years. Beyond that, the company checks additional projects with a view to expanding its property portfolio, especially in the economically strong region of southern Germany.
