Dr. Hönle AG: Hönle expects operating result of Euro 12 to 13 million

Gräfelfing/Munich (pta022/28.07.2016/16:37 UTC+2) The Hönle Group reduces its expectations for the current financial year. Revenues in the 2015/2016 financial year are expected to amount to Eur 90 to 92 million and the operating result will probably come to between Eur 12 and 13 million. Previously, the Company had assumed that revenues and the operating would be more or less on par with the previous year's level (Eur 92.2 million and Eur 13.5 million, respectively).

The expectations were adjusted, inter alia, due to developments in the Adhesives segment. Due to weaker demand in the field of smartphones, revenues will probably be lower compared with the forecast figures. Moreover, in the context of DRUPA, the world's largest trade show for print media, orders received in the Equipment & Systems segment decreased, and this will leed to a temporary revenue decline in the fourth quarter. Positive revenue effects due to the DRUPA are expected in the following quarters.

Outlook
Positive business development is expected for the Glass & Lamps segment in financial year 2016/2017, which will be supported by Raesch Quarz (Germany) GmbH, in particular. Following the successful implementation of technical optimization processes, the company contributed positively to earnings in the third quarter and, in so doing, kicked off the turnaround. Consequently, after an overall weak result in the financial year 2015/2016, a clearly positive contribution to earnings is expected for the coming financial year.

Revenues and earnings are also expected to pick up in the Adhesives segment in the coming year. The strong expansion of the dealer network in Europe as well as current projects in connection with medical technology and consumer electronics will play a role in here.

The Hönle Group has a leading position in the field of LED drying technology and sheet-fed offset printing. Revenues are expected to see particularly positive development in this business field. In addition, the Hönle Group will probably benefit from a slight upturn in the market for printing machines used in package printing.
In addition to that, the relocation of a production site from Unterlüß near Celle to Dr. Hönle AG in Gräfelfing will lead to significant cost savings.

In all, the Hönle management expects a perceptible improvement in earnings for the financial year 2016/2017.

The quarterly report for the period from 1 October 2015 to 30 June 2016 will be published on 16 August 2016 as planned.
