*New market in Iran opened for ceramic flat sheet membranes
*First reference project in re-use opened together with the Ministry of Energy in Tehran
*Installation inside a building in Tehran under supervision of NWWEC

ItN Nanovation AG (ISIN DE000A0JL461) has opened up its first reference project in its new regional market focus in Iran. ItN immediately started opening up the new market in Iran after the sanctions were lifted and has now opened up its first reference project for water re-use inside a building in Tehran.

After SafBon Holding / Shanghai became major shareholder of ItN last year, ItN and SafBon decided to closely follow up ItN's strategy to cover the Islamic Republic of Iran as a promising market with more than 80 million citizens. Therefore, and consequently SafBon has already founded and opened up a combined sales office in Tehran with an own sales force for SafBon, KWI and ItN.

Iran's population is growing fast and the country has lost 30% of its natural water resources throughout the last 15 years. Today Iran is following up new sources of water like the desalination of seawater as well as the re-use of water already produced.

ItN's new reference plant is surveyed by the National Water and Wastewater Company (NWWEC) and in case of proper results, it will promote ItN's solution nationwide. So far, and after one month of operation the filtration results and the performance of ItN's ceramic flat sheet membranes look more than promising! The test will last for another three months at least, before NWWEC will issue its recommendations...
