Vienna (pta020/31.10.2017/13:30 UTC+1) Austrian Competition Authority approves takeover of brick plant in Carinthia
- Closing expected at the end of 2017

The Austrian Competition Authority approved the planned takeover of the Brenner Brick Plant in Carinthia by Wienerberger Ziegelindustrie GmbH, the Austrian subsidiary of Wienerberger AG.

"We are happy to announce that the Austrian Competition Authority has given us the green light to take over the Brenner Brick Plant", reports Heimo Scheuch, Chairman of the Board of Wienerberger AG.

The takeover of this company, which is based at St. Andrä im Lavanttal, will enable Wienerberger to extend its regional presence in southern Austria. The transaction is expected to be closed toward the end of 2017.
