Wienerberger AG: Wienerberger Supervisory Board receives AREX 2015 Award

Yesterday, November 5, 2015, Wienerberger received the AREX 2015 Award in the "Listed Companies" category. Initiated by Board Search, KPMG and Hay Group and awarded for the first time in Austria in 2015, the AREX Award honors pioneering supervisory boards and recognizes excellence in supervisory board work. The criteria applied in the nomination process include the quality of the board, the board's perception of its role, the board's membership and composition, its function as an advisory body, diversity, independence, future-oriented and social corporate management, and corporate governance. The jury of experts, consisting of Eva Marchart, Susanne Kalss and Wilfried Stadler, unanimously chose Wienerberger AG from among Austria's listed companies as this year's winner.

Competent Supervisory Board as a guarantor of success
