Wienerberger AG: Wienerberger receives Vienna Stock Exchange Award 2016

Last night, Wienerberger AG received the Vienna Stock Exchange Award in the "ATX" category, the main prize awarded within the framework of this event. The ATX Award recognizes companies for the quality of their financial reporting, investor relations, strategy, corporate governance and sustainability as well as market-related factors.

Convincing through active commitment to the financial market
Receiving this distinction from the Vienna Stock Exchange, Heimo Scheuch, CEO of Wienerberger AG, said, "Wienerberger looks back on a successful year 2015, in which we generated the highest revenues ever in the history of the company, amounting to almost Eur 3 billion. Distinction for 25 years on the ATX
On the occasion of the 25-year jubilee of the ATX, Austria's key index, the Vienna Stock Exchange honored Wienerberger for "25 years on the ATX". Last night, Ludwig Nießen, Member of the Board of the Vienna Stock Exchange, handed over this special award to Heimo Scheuch, CEO of Wienerberger AG, one of the four exchange-listed companies represented on the ATX since its inception in 1991.

The annual Vienna Stock Exchange Award is conferred jointly by Aktienforum, APA-Finance, Cercle Investor Relations Austria (C.I.R.A.), the Austrian National Bank (OeNB), the Austrian Association for Financial Analysis and Asset Management (ÖVFA), the Association of Austrian Investment Companies (VÖIG), the Vienna Stock Exchange and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) in the following four categories: ATX Award, Small & Mid Cap Award, Corporate Bond Award, and Journalist Award.
