iLAND Green Technologies SA: iLAND at the 29th Marathon des Sables 2014

During the past 3 days in Morrocco's sahara desert, iLAND has deployed a mobile solar production platform for the 29th edition of the Marathon Des Sables.
As they did in 2013, the Swiss company supplies the strategic areas of a nomadic village comprised of nearly 2000 people : Medical, Press, Race coordination and competitors telecommunications.
At the start of the first stage, Patrick Bauer, Founder and Race Director, launched over 1000 competitors into the pounding heat of the Merzouga dunes while standing on the top of the iLAND solar truck.
At the finish line, it is Laurence Klein, 3 time winner of the MDS and iLAND ambassador, that arrived first in the women's category.
At the end of the day, it's a double win for iLAND....to be repeated.
