VIB Vermögen AG: VIB Vermögen continues to grow

* Adjusted earnings before tax (EBT) increases by 13.1 per cent to EUR 10.1 million

Neuburg/Danube, May 11, 2016 - VIB Vermögen AG, a company specialising in the develop-ment, acquisition and portfolio management of commercial properties, has continued to grow in line with expectations in the first quarter. The company, which today unveiled its figures for the first three months of 2016, increased its operating revenue by 7.9 per cent from EUR 18.0 million to EUR 19.5 million. This positive development is chiefly attributable to rental proceeds from new properties that were not in the company's property portfolio in the prior-year period or that were not in the portfolio for the entire duration of the prior-year period. The company also witnessed an indexing of rental agreements and a further decrease in the vacancy rate.

With a similar cost situation as in the previous year, earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) adjusted for value effects climbed by 8.7 per cent to EUR 15.3 million, compared with EUR 14.0 million in the previous year. Adjusted earnings before tax (EBT) outperformed operating revenue and increased by 13.1 per cent on the previous year's figure of EUR 8.9 million to come in at EUR 10.1 million. Following the deduction of income taxes totalling EUR 1.6 million, consolidated net income is up slightly on the previous year at EUR 8.5 million.

"We have continued to chart a successful course in the first quarter. This is due both to our portfolio management work and the targeted expansion of our project development activities. Furthermore, we have laid the foundation for continued future growth by acquiring additional properties at the Interpark site," explains Holger Pilgenröther, CFO of VIB Vermögen AG.

FFO (funds from operations), which is an indicator of cash inflow from operating activities, improved by 11.3 per cent to EUR 8.8 million in the first three months of 2016. Undiluted NAV (net asset value), i.e. the value of total assets less liabilities, increased by 2.1 per cent compared to the end of the 2015 financial year to reach EUR 421.6 million.
